  “Thanksgiving” is a beautiful feeling. It is a mainly American holiday. The word brings you to football, family reunions, roasted turkey with stuffing, pumpkin pie and, of course, the Pilgrims and Wampanoag, the acknowledged founders of the feast.
  
  This piece of writing will explore the change of our modern holiday. For information on food at the First Thanksgiving, go to “Partakers of our Plenty”. Giving thanks for the Creator’s gifts had always been a part of Wampanoag daily life. From earliest times, Local North American people have held formalities to give thanks for fruitful harvests, for the hope of a respectable growing season in the early spring, and for another good fortune such as the birth of a child.
