Fatima Ahmed's Album: My vacation at Sequoia National Park

I just came back from a trip to the Sequoia National Park in California's Southern Sierra Nevada Mountains. At this place, I saw some of the world's largest trees called the Sequoia trees. Most of these giant trees are about 1,800 to 3,000 years old. The oldest one I saw was 2,200 years old. Ofcourse, these trees are also the largest on earth - 275 feet tall! They are something beyond belief. My pictures just don't do them justice. However, since a lot of you are outside of USA, I thought of sharing these vacation pics to share something educational (after all this website is to share everything of educational value). It is hard to describe these beauties in words!

General Sherman Tree from top to bottom
Picture does not do justice to these trees. You have to see them in person to realize how giant they are!
