According to the equation, force is directly proportional to pressure. A blunt knife has more area around the cutting edge than a sharp knife. Secondly,F= {m(v-u)}/t

Assume, two knives have same mass and you take same amount of time to cut. As
you start from a zero velocity, that means u=0. Ultimately you end up giving
much more velocity to the blunt than sharp one. So, if you accidentally slip
while cutting, blunt will hit your finger faster, which might cause a serious
injury. Sharp knife will have less velocity, which has multiple advantages:
bringing the sharp knife to rest is easier than blunt one. If you slip, sharp
knife won’t hit so fast. It may cause a
little scratch, or you’ll be lucky to stop the sharp knife as soon as it touches your skin (blunt one
      would cause a deep scar).

away the ice and snow.So he could drive safely. If no tread, there will be less friction and driving will become unsafe.

Jacob's shoes slipped because uppermost ice layer contains thin water layer on it.Deeper ice layers stick to each other well but upper layers are very loose as they always remain in contact with air. While walking, jacob's shoes rubbed on ice that caused friction.Friction created heat and heat helped to melt the ice which made it more slippery.

All the situations described above hints at Newton’s 3rd Law & specifically Frictional force.

      1) Situation-1, Jacob’s car could travel the road despite the road was slippery. This happened as the tires had enough grooves to increase friction. Friction increases due to rough surface, so the tires could make a firm grip on the road and prevent slipping. But if the tires hadn’t enough groove it could felt due to the smooth icy road.

      2) 2nd situation where Jacob slipped on the ground due to wearing regular shoes. Although static friction occurred it wasn’t enough to stop slipping as the shoes of Jacob didn’t have enough grip to increase friction.

      3) We can see in the 3rd situation that through rubbing his palms together, Jacob felt warm on both palms. This occurred due to sliding friction. The molecules in the palms of Jacob’s started moving quickly. Static electricity was produced due to the sliding friction. Thus this static electricity converted into heat energy. So friction is the root of this.  less

First of all, it can be noticed that surface of the ice is slippery. So in order to prevent skidding, the tire of the car had a grooved pattern moulded into the rubber surface and are properly inflated which increases the amount of friction force acting on the car and so the car can move smoothly through the ice. Secondly, it is quite good to mention that normal shoes are not built to create a lot of frictional force, so as the ice is slippery, due to less frictional force, Mr Jacob slips.
In order to prevent slipping on ice, ice boots have quite a good surface that can create a lot of friction with the ice, preventing the user of the boots from sleeping. Thirdly, rubbing hands is also an example of friction. Rubbing hands allows surfaces from both the hands to come into contact and rub against each other and this movement causes friction force to convert the kinetic energy of the hands into the thermal...    less

      1. The snowy road
is so slippery and doesn’t have enough grips. Jacob’s Car was useful there; it
gives power to all 4 wheels at the same time. With the help of heavy car
weight, those 4 tires made 4 friction points. The more friction it made, the
more grip the car got. He might use frictional tires for getting more grips. In
consequence of that, he moved easily.

      2.
      On the ice, there are
unstable water molecules that are weakly bonded to the crystal. When Jacob
walked on ice, the molecules began to move freely. His shoes had not enough
friction point to grip in ice. As a result, his foot did not get enough static
friction force to hold him in place & he slipped.

      3.
Jacob’s hands came in contact & move relative to each
other; the friction between the two hand surfaces converts kinetic energy into
thermal energy. Thermal energy made his hand wormer and made it safe from being
      frozen.  less

Pretty much all Bangladeshis's know him today as he had been doing agricultural/horticulture shows since the 80s. His job is to find out problems and solutions that many gardeners and farmers face. Horticulture can be difficult if there are harsh weather, large cost of farming technology, and transportation issues. In addition, beginning gardeners might get frustrated as it takes knowledge, time, effort and the perfect combination of water, light, temperature, humidity, and nutrients to grow perfect plants every time. Our quiz this week is, how can you invent a technology that can solve all these horticultural problems and speed up the horticultural process? Just a reminder, that the internet has tons of solutions to these problems, but we will award $3 to the person who comes up with the wildest idea that has not been mentioned anywhere. Please comment below with your answer very BRIEFLY as this is not a wiki!  less

land behind the city. I cultivate various seasonal vegetables in my land. I
just clearly saw that most of my vegetables spoiled by insects. I had some
ideas generate on my mind. How will i remove these insects. The other reason
was some vegetables didn't suite the weather. I made a plan to do a greenhouse. I
just spend the minimum amount of money. For my test transmission, i used few amount
of land to produce organic vegetables. It took 1 month to build up. I produced
huge amount of green vegetables. There are may benefit from using greenhouse farming it increase rapidly,
maximizing profits. It is very beneficial for our home nursery those who love
gardening. There are many ways to build up greenhouse farming. I used bamboo and wood and other materials used to
make greenhouse farming. The benefits of doing greenhouse farming, the temperature
      declined.  less

We cannot change natural things like humidity, temperature and so on. But surely, we can adjust.
The following to simple steps will make horticulture handy.

      1. Just like "International Movie Database (IMDb)", we need to create a database for horticulture where every possible corps along with its most suitable natural property (humidity, temperature etc) and market values will be included.

      2. Spreading soil testing labs locally. Even small labs can be set up in vehicles to go to distant places.

A farmer will get his soil sample tested from the nearest lab. He will enter his soil properties and environmental properties to the database through its API-generated mobile app, and the database will suggest the most suitable crop of highest market value according to his condition.

The database will also provide him the scientific methods to produce that crop which will eradicate the 'lack of sufficient knowledge ' problem.  less

We have seen that the coronavirus death numbers are different in different countries. Some developed countries have far worse death rates than other developed countries even though they all followed the same social distancing techniques, wore masks and followed strict lockdown rules. Scientists are trying to find out more about this reason before they release the corona vaccine. Our question to Coolinventor members is, why do you think one developed nation has more deaths than another developed nation even though they all followed the same social distancing strategy, practiced good hygiene wearing masks, and followed strict lockdown rules? There is a surprising reason for this...please share your insights in the comment below and the person with the best answer will get $3.  less

And this aged people are more vulnerable to covid-19 consequences due to having less immunity and maybe having underlying other health conditions as well. This leads them to deadly consequence of covid-19 easily after exposer....... Apart from this there can be other causes as well like negligence of politicians on following scientific advices,, comparatively less testing than others,, not declining international tradings,, and obviously delaying in taking proper measurements...  less

When the first corona pandemic crash into our planet, it attack the developed country. Statistics says that developed country face many deaths than the developing and poor country. But gradually the score going up and up everyday. More than 4 lakh people are died worldwide.

Scientist are try to prevent the spread of the virus. But somehow the implantation is not take break anyway.

I think wearing mask and maintaining social distance is not enough for hinder the virus. That's why developed countries are failed about controlling the virus. They obey every instruction given by WHO. But no result appear at all.

My opinion about why every developed country has different death score is rely on some points.
** The nature of the virus is changed time to time. So they get the power for survive in any place.

** Immunity of the people of developed country is not the same of developing or poor country. They live in a rich and easy life. So they don't...    less

Some countries are showing more death rates than others as- 1. Coronavirus has undergone mutations. Some strains are more dangerous than the others. 2. The more the testing the more the numbers.Again,Death reporting policy is different among countries.UK counts all the numbers who were tested positive and died after that- the underlying condition isn't considered. Some countries counts deaths only deaths at hospital or confirmed cases. 3. Developed countries has more aged persons as the life expectancy is greater and the elders have weak immune system. 4. Culture and lifestyles must have an strong impact. This is still quite unclear to scientists.  less

Researchers found that the Asian, European, American and Russian strains coexist regarding the attack in any particular region or country. It is also observed that the mutation in one country or region is different from that of other countries. This all bacause of immunity system and environment. As you can compare to Bangladesh which is in tropical zone and USA where death rate is higher than us is in temparate zone.As recent research says that this virus is more stable in low temperature. But the rate of infected people are same, but this virus cause less damage because of immunity system. Immunity system deals a great job when it comes to a virus that have no cure and no vaccine. That's why the death rate in different countries are different.  less

The numbers of infected and death varies greatly, yet they can't tell the actual scenarios of countries. 'How willingly people get tested and Who gets tested' are two of the main factors. There may be a high number of unreported cases in the country, both among infections and those people who are dying following an infection. In contrast, in some countries high testing followed by strict isolation kept the numbers low. Timing of epidemic is the factor which tells us to wait until the end of pandemic. Again, most countries that were affected first couldn't handle the situation. Population pyramid tells that developed countries have more number of aged people. As we age, our immunity weakens and with other preoccupied diseases at that stage they can't make it to survive. However, It is more difficult to have confidence in data that comes from countries with tightly controlled political systems and their policy to declare a death as a death from Corona.  less
