To live in a closed eco-system,an animal/plant must need air & foods. While putting the ladybug in the container, some air entered into the container and was trapped inside.
That air obviously contained some oxygen and CO2.Plants
need CO2 to live. They inhaled the CO2 and exhaled the
Oxygen. With the Oxygen released by the plants, the ladybug survived and it exhaled CO2.The plants then again used the CO2 and exhaled Oxygen. In this way,it continues in a cycle.
      For making food,plants need 4 things: water,mineral,CO2
and sunlight.Water and mineral is available in the wet soil.CO2 is available in the air, whereas, sunlight is also saying ‘hi’ there! So?Food prepared!
Again, the main food of ladybug is small insect called ‘Aphid’,which sucks the juice of plants and live there. So, ladybug is getting enough food for her. This is how they both are surviving in the closed container.  less

Symbiosis means interaction between two dissimilar organism where both benefit from being with each other. When we are putting the ladybug and the plants inside the glass jar they are getting sealed from the rest of the world. The ladybug respires which releases carbon dioxide, which is taken up by the leaves of the plant. The leaves also get sufficient sunlight from the sun as the glass is transparent. And it also gets minerals from the charcoals in the soil ans as the soil was wet plants can absorb water from it too . The plants use this for photosynthesis and to produce oxygen and glucose. The glucose is used by the plants for food and the oxygen is used by the ladybug for respiration. The ladybug also feeds on the plants to survive. This is how the plant and the ladybug depends on each other to survive. This is known as symbiosis and this is why the plant and the ladybug both survived even if the container...    less

Plants produce their own oxygen during photosynthesis and by using that, bug is still alive. Bugs breath through openings in the thorax and abdomen called spiracles. For plants, those gravels will hold water and increase humidity. Charcoal increases the soils ability to hold onto plant nutrients and from wet soil plants get water. So using all of that in the process of photosynthesis, plant is growing and producing foods, oxygens and heat energy. This is how plants and the ladybug are still surviving in that closed container.  less

Plants have a process called photosynthesis which requires CO2 and sunlight to produce carbohydrates, water and oxygen for the plants' growth. Those plants need carbon dioxide to grow (plants absorb carbon dioxide through their stomata). For our container analogy, we can say that the plants inside the container are using photosynthesis to create their own food supply from sunlight and CO2. The gravel supplies nutrients such as nitrogen, magnesium and phosphorus which play important role in plant growth. Charcoal also acts like gravel by keeping up humidity levels for optimum growth conditions. The ladybug eats the plants, but both organisms benefit from receiving nutrients from each other.  less

Few things ladybug needs to live-
      -Oxygen.
      -Food source.
-Clean air that does not contain harmful gas like ammonia.
      -Suitable humidity
      -Available water source
The jer fulfills the requirements like this-
*Plants and algae give oxygen and get Co2 from ladybugs and other organisms.
*Plants get energy from the sun and provide food for organisms. The energy stays almost the same as bacteria and protozoa decompose dead organisms and fallen leaves.
*Bacteria and protozoa break down the waste and make ammonia into nitrate that plants can take. So the air stays clean.
      *Charcoal removes excess humidity.
*Water evaporates but comes back to the system like rain.
The jer completes the energy cycle, Co2 cycle, Oxygen Cycle, Hydrogen cycle, decomposition, and controls humidity and air quality. So, Ladybug and her friends can live happily by supporting each other.  less

      Why this formula will work?

This method will work when all the sides are of the same length. Then, we can find the volume of a cube just knowing the measurement of only one side. If a cube has side length "x" then Volume = x × x × x a which results in the formula, Volume = x³. This is where we get the term called"cubed". When we use power to the 3 over something, we call it cubed. When units of Measure are calculated, we find the volume of an object, and the units are cubed. This means that if the measurements of the sides are in miters, then the answer will be in cubed miters.  less

      ''How will it work?''
In question, it represents the subject of ‘similarity statistics’. This means that the ratio of height, length, and width will be the same.
In the equation, we are seeing that the dimension of both the values are different which needs to be equal. Over here, the height is a one-dimensional unit(meter) but the volume is three-dimensional (meter^3). So, we need to cube it to make it evenly dimensional.
      ''Why would it work?''
Otherwise, it is not according to the rules and the answer will be wrong.
      So, given,
      Height of small giraff= 4m
      = 4 x 4 x4 = 216m^3
      Height of big giraff= 6m
      = 6x 6 x6 = 64 m^3
      Volume of big giraff= 5400m^3
and, let the volume of small giraffe be 'x' m^3.
      Now. we know,
      the formula of similarity,
Height of big giraffe/Height of small giraffe=Volume of big giraffe/Volume of small giraff.
      ==> 216/64 = 5400/ 'x'
      ==>216x =345600
      ==> x =1600
Therefore, the volume of the small giraff is 1600 m^3.  less

width, and the dimension of each part will be the same for the two Giraffe. The volume of a
three dimensional figure is- volume= length X width X height so, Volume(Small)/Volume
      (Large)=Length(s)×width(s)×Height(s)/Length×width×Height
      Height(s)/Height=4/6=2/3 So, Length(s)/ Length=2/3 and width(s)/width=2/3
      Volume(Small)/Volume (Large)= (2/3) ×(2/3)×(2/3) Volume(Small)= (8/27)× Volume (Large)
      = (8/27) × 5400 m^3 = 1600 m^3 This formula will work because If we calculate volume part
by part and make a sum to get the total volume of the small giraffe as it is irregular-shaped,
it will remain unchanged because each part maintains the same ratio of 2/3 with the large

This would explain why when they are playing at the same time, there was an odd but clear sound that they were not supposed to produce.

The reason for this is because whenever any objects vibrate or moves, it produces interference. When one object moves in a particular direction or changes its motion suddenly, there will be waves forming in all directions. If another object has these waves hitting them as well while moving around by itself then there will be interference which will result in having waves being lost or changed.

The concept of physics used is applied in the principle of interference. When two or more objects cause vibration or motion, there will be waves colliding with each other and either being canceled out or changed by a small fraction. This is an example of interference that can lead to many different problems down the road.  less

Here when they both play the guitar simultaneously both of them produce waves of similar Frequency. These waves are produced interact with eachother & produce constructive & destructive superposition. This leads to amplitude at a few points to become double as displacement at that point is high. This leads to the loud noise as high amplitude is responsible for high sound. To avoid this they need to play different cords or change the frequency of the waves produced.  less

The above phenomena is related to the terms-Interference and Superposition. When Sarah & Ali attempted to play
the acoustic guitar synchronously, two sound waves were generated from two guiters at the exact same time.I mean each one produced the same sound wave and both the waves were in same phase. Now,what is phase!

If two waves have the same amplitude, same frequency and same wavelength, then it is said that both the waves are in same phase.

So when two or more same-phased
waves arrive at the same point (when both started playing their guitar),the waves superimpose themselves on one another.Actually the amplitudes of the wave superimpose. This term is known as-Superposition.So,the resultant wave will simply be the addition of the amplitudes of the individual waves. This superposition
produces Constructive Interference which produces a wave that has twice the amplitude of the individual waves. The higher the amplitude, the louder the sound
      will be.

On the other hand,it can be said very easily...    less

From this discussion,it has been realized that when Sarah & Ali started playing at the same time, the sound waves generated from their instrument superimposed on each other and created the wave which had twice the amplitude of that individual wave.So a loud thumping noise was
generated. But their ear were get used to it slowly. So,it didn’t affect that much later  less

Moment of force is the idea to make a body to rotate on a pivot. Moment has a simple rule that is the closer you are to the pivot or the point the more energy you would require to rotate the body. This rule is obeyed by many objects which we use in our day-to-day life. Like a spanner handle is placed far from the pivot to rotate the nut or nail easier with less force. Similarly, in this case the pivot is the root of the tree, it is the turning point for the tree, when the crowd gathered they applied force very close to the pivot or the root this cause the tree not to budge but when Andy positioned the force on the far end from the pivot it made it easier for the crowd to move the tree. In simple, we can sum it up that the greater the distance the less the force needed and the smaller the distance the more force is needed which this scenario perfectly portrayed.  less

Momentum is the product of force and the perpendicular distance between the pivot and line of force. He considered providing a force greater than the weight of the tree, but this is only feasible if the force is delivered on the other side of the root.
It is a fact that when a force is applied far from the pivot, the force is sufficient to elevate the other force/weight. Mr. Andy used that notion when assisting the individual.

The idea about moments is that the further a force acts away from the pivot(the turning point of an object), the more effective it will be in turning the object. For example, the knob of a door is situated the farthest from its pivot, the hinges. In the picture, we can see that the tree is tilted down towards the side of its roots. From this, we can guess that(counting the car as a pivot) there is a greater load acting downwards in that side of the tree, than the side with the leaves. The way the people were doing it before, they were wasting strength overcoming all the those forces and uprooting the tree. They were using the car as a pivot, and the distance between their force and the car/pivot was not much. However, pushing in an anticlockwise direction on the other side, with the leaves, shifts the pivot from being the car to being the roots, all the way on the other side of the tree. The pivot being far away, the forces proved effective.  less

As mentioned in the scenario, the roots of the tree were fixed with the ground so it was a fixed point and a fixed point is called a pivot. This pivot allowed the tree to be removed over the car. According to the principles of moment, the distance from the pivot to the point where the force is applied is directly proportional to the moment, meaning the longer this distance, the greater the rotation of the tree and that is why Mr Andy applied his force on the farther end of the tree so that with less force would produce greater moment due to the longer distance, away from the tree and was successful to remove it and save the passenger.  less

Andy told others to help lift the tree from the other side, as the force acting away from the root of the tree made it easier to lift the tree than near the root.
The car was acting as a pivot here because the weight of the whole tree was on the car. The bottom side of the tree was not uprooted, so it was heavier than the upper part, so more force was needed to lift it from near the roots. Therefore, it was easier to lift the tree upwards at a certain distance away from the root of the tree as there was less weight in the upper direction.
Today, we learned about a great example in the field of physics. this topic can be identified as the 'moments'. Moments are directly proportional to the force and distance of a body, just like this one! Easy-Peasy!  less

This project gives shelter to homeless people, those people were barely surviving before they got a house from this project. Now they can stay focus on their daily livelihood. The project has been going economic vulnerability of many homeless families by providing them with shelters and necessary financial assistance to rebuild their life. As the project now targets the impoverished people of the whole country, by aiding them to build their shelter with a means of income generation can also check the displacement of people from one place to another. Beside that this project provided necessary training to them and revolving interest-free micro-credit to enhance income generating activities to improve their livelihoods and make them self-reliant. With this they can start a small business or cultivate their own food and keeping household pet. This project surely a blessing to those people like Rahim Miah.  less

Homeless women, teenagers, and children feel helpless or unprotected due to multiple forms of victimization, including forced, coerced, or manipulated sexual activity. So, ''The Asrayan project'' is a development project which aims at providing homes for the homeless and gradually making them self-dependent to contribute to the national economy. This project will help lower-income group people to some extent but government support is needed to achieve this to the fullest, such as,

1.Setting priority for ensuring to access good jobs for lower-income group people.

2.Providing Microloans can be beneficial to the landless people who want to start a new business. If the business increases, it will also create more employment opportunities for others.  less

Pascal's principle of pressure describes this knife phenomenon. As a scalar physical quantity ,pressure is defined as the force per unit area applied perpendicular to the surface which it is applied .
The elementary mathematical expression for pressure is giving by ,
      P = F/A
Here, P is the pressure , F is the force acting perpendicular to the surface to which this force is applied and A is the area of the surface .
The same force applied by a sharp knife with a smaller area of contact will exerts a much greater pressure than a blunt knife having a considerable larger area of contact .
Once a blunt knife is through the object (vegetable or other food), there is a greater chance for the pressure to lead to slippage, skidding and injury. A sharp knife can cut using the edge of the e knife with a safer slicing. Rather, cuts from sharper knives can actually heal more easily than those from dull knives. A sharp knife is a safer knife than a dull knife.  less

According to the equation, force is directly proportional to pressure. A blunt knife has more area around the cutting edge than a sharp knife. So a blunt knife requires more pressure for the same amount of force to be exerted, as the pressure applied increases the chances of the knife slipping and cutting Adam's hand increases. Similarly, a sharp knife would require less pressure to be applied for the same amount of force to be exerted, this not only allows Adam to cut through the food but also prevents the knife from slipping and cutting his hand.  less

area of a blunt and a sharp knife is same, then doubling the pressure on blunt
      knife means doubling the force.

      Secondly,F= {m(v-u)}/t

Assume, two knives have same mass and you take same amount of time to cut. As
you start from a zero velocity, that means u=0. Ultimately you end up giving
much more velocity to the blunt than sharp one. So, if you accidentally slip
while cutting, blunt will hit your finger faster, which might cause a serious
injury. Sharp knife will have less velocity, which has multiple advantages:
bringing the sharp knife to rest is easier than blunt one. If you slip, sharp
knife won’t hit so fast. It may cause a
little scratch, or you’ll be lucky to stop the sharp knife as soon as it touches your skin (blunt one
      would cause a deep scar).

For same time duration, point of contact (finger and knife)
faces two different momenta. As a result,...    less

Here, according to Pascal's law (P = f/a, where pressure is the force applied over a certain area), the sharp knife can exert greater pressure than the blunt knife, as the sharper knife has less contact area for the same force than the blunt knife, so the force would be exerted over a smaller area. So in order to cut anything, one would need to apply a larger force in a blunt knife than a sharper knife, and this might result in the blunt knife cutting the hand due to excessive pressure applied by the user while cutting any other objects.  less

away the ice and snow.So he could drive safely. If no tread, there will be less friction and driving will become unsafe.

Jacob's shoes slipped because uppermost ice layer contains thin water layer on it.Deeper ice layers stick to each other well but upper layers are very loose as they always remain in contact with air. While walking, jacob's shoes rubbed on ice that caused friction.Friction created heat and heat helped to melt the ice which made it more slippery.

All the situations described above hints at Newton’s 3rd Law & specifically Frictional force.

      1) Situation-1, Jacob’s car could travel the road despite the road was slippery. This happened as the tires had enough grooves to increase friction. Friction increases due to rough surface, so the tires could make a firm grip on the road and prevent slipping. But if the tires hadn’t enough groove it could felt due to the smooth icy road.

      2) 2nd situation where Jacob slipped on the ground due to wearing regular shoes. Although static friction occurred it wasn’t enough to stop slipping as the shoes of Jacob didn’t have enough grip to increase friction.

      3) We can see in the 3rd situation that through rubbing his palms together, Jacob felt warm on both palms. This occurred due to sliding friction. The molecules in the palms of Jacob’s started moving quickly. Static electricity was produced due to the sliding friction. Thus this static electricity converted into heat energy. So friction is the root of this.  less

First of all, it can be noticed that surface of the ice is slippery. So in order to prevent skidding, the tire of the car had a grooved pattern moulded into the rubber surface and are properly inflated which increases the amount of friction force acting on the car and so the car can move smoothly through the ice. Secondly, it is quite good to mention that normal shoes are not built to create a lot of frictional force, so as the ice is slippery, due to less frictional force, Mr Jacob slips.
In order to prevent slipping on ice, ice boots have quite a good surface that can create a lot of friction with the ice, preventing the user of the boots from sleeping. Thirdly, rubbing hands is also an example of friction. Rubbing hands allows surfaces from both the hands to come into contact and rub against each other and this movement causes friction force to convert the kinetic energy of the hands into the thermal...    less

gives power to all 4 wheels at the same time. With the help of heavy car
weight, those 4 tires made 4 friction points. The more friction it made, the
more grip the car got. He might use frictional tires for getting more grips. In
consequence of that, he moved easily.

      2.
      On the ice, there are
unstable water molecules that are weakly bonded to the crystal. When Jacob
walked on ice, the molecules began to move freely. His shoes had not enough
friction point to grip in ice. As a result, his foot did not get enough static
friction force to hold him in place & he slipped.

      3.
Jacob’s hands came in contact & move relative to each
other; the friction between the two hand surfaces converts kinetic energy into
thermal energy. Thermal energy made his hand wormer and made it safe from being
      frozen.  less

As a Mr. Ethan and a professor and a political leader, I
will use my knowledge from both fields.

I will separate the jobs or general people's economic contributions
into three categories: highest, the less, and the least. The main objective is
to keep the economy after reducing the interaction of people.

I will set the time frame for various categories. Before the
office hours on the very morning, the markets will be available for estern
housing (in the evening, the western people will come).

With the office hours, the banks and other related services
will be there. In the evening time, the least contributors will come across
      like shopping complexes and restaurants.

At night the manufacturers and agriculture, food services, garments,
      suppliers will work.

The statistics on the economic contribution I will follow to
set them at morning, day, or night shifts, related with one another.

To combat against covid-19 nothing beats social distancing, closing the borders, and nationwide lockdown. But to reduce the economic backlash certain steps can be taken.
Distribution of workforce could ensure less gathering and reduction of service. Businesses will divide the workers into shifts and follow strict guidelines. They will also have to reduce the services they provide and stay open for extra hours. Garments, constructions need to divide their workforce into shifts so it doesn't hinder their work.
Long journeys should be restricted as it increased the chances of spreading the virus. Borders need to stay closed at all costs because new strains are being discovered on a regular basis around the globe and the effects of the mutated virus could be devastating.
Law force should be deployed to monitor unnecessary gatherings and ensure people maintaining the guidelines in public.
The government needs to organize relief funds to ensure infected individuals don't have to go hungry or forced to go...    less

Although the duration and severity of Covid-19 are terrible, it is quite impossible for a country like Bangladesh, to have a long lockdown to sustain the economy. As a policymaker, I will take the following steps :
      - I will instruct the industries to work by dividing the working time into double shifts. In this way, even if the cost of running the industry is a bit higher, the density in the workplace can be avoided.
-Since the marketplaces must be kept open, a family member from each family will be provided a movement pass for shopping at most one day of the week to avoid extra crowds.
-Adequate number of transports would be kept running on the occasion of the upcoming festival so that the passengers can maintain minimum social distance.
-Strict surveillance will be put in place to ensure that people are maintaining proper social distance and hygiene and not leaving their house unnecessarily. Public awareness activities should be carried out to motivate the people to abide by the necessary health norms.  less

It was so interesting to read more and more of it till the end as you wrote your own personal journey with nostalgic memories. Your personal pictures vividly described those childhood experiences! We liked reading all the expectations you had about education and the actual problems you faced. Lots of personal eye witness type experiences that resonates with all of us so well! The 'Bully Box' is an amazing idea and schools should implement this system. Also, taking care of physically disabled children in schools is quite unheard of in most schools and hope your suggestions help. Good to know about Khulna lifestyle!  less

Where there are several roads for going one place to another, everybody uses the shortest path or the widest roads; that causes traffic jam.Dividing up the vehicles properly into roads can help everybody to get rid of the problem. For this, existing google map can be updated more (as it can already show which road is jam packed and how much time we need to go through that path) or new apps can be developed for this purpose. All drivers will be connected to the app or that updated google map for getting more details every minute to choose a path to avoid the chance of creating a jam.  less

I may sound like crazy, but it's high time to look for air services for our daily life at a low cost. If we can use air ways for this purpose, the problem will be solved easily.

In the next project, we will heavily penalize if contributors copy anything directly from the internet. In the last project, we found many writings like that but we were a bit lenient. But this time, you may not make any money at all if there is any sign of plagiarism in the writing. Admins can quickly recognize writings which have been copied from the internet. So it is upto the admin from now on to deduct points if they feel anything might have been copied from the net. And yes, we can figure out from the reading which ones are from the internet and which ones are someone's own words. So please read this page very carefully, especially the plagiarism part!
