In terms of giving full support to them, we have to be aware of our low income nation. Human need will last as long as people can survive. The forest resources in those area will decrease eventually if this Rohingya crisis lasts for more years. Again as a human we can not also deny them. The best solutions are: (1)Safe and sustainable Rohingya repatriation to Myanmar by giving pressure to Myanmar government from international welfare organizations. (2) However, this will need some time for repatriation so in this time a temporary ID card can be given to them so that they can work with the mainstream people. Biofuel is using waste and rubbish of animals and humans and converting it into fuel. There are two kinds of biofuel, one is biomass using the wastages directly as fuel. They just need to sundry the waste and can use them without extra expenses. Another is biogas, that needs to convert the wastages into gas and use it as fuel. The process is a little bit complexer and costlier. The wastage must be processed and compressed in an enclosed area without oxygen to convert it into a fuelworthy mixture of methane and carbon dioxide gas. If the government or any volunteer association helps to make it, it won't be tough. In the camp, a lot of rohingya people live who produce lots of human and pet animal waste that can be converted into biofuel. Biofuel will be the best and easiest alternative for cutting trees and making fuel for them. Volunteers need to teach them about it and our forest area will be saved. less

Best! To solve forest issues, they need to transfer for a temporary camping. So it's needed to contact with others country to solve the problem. To solve the rohingya issue the government should hit upon a sustainable plan. Firstly, proper shelter must be ensured for their safety. As Bangladesh government save these rohingya people by giving them permission to enter our country, now it is their responsibility as well as challenge to provide house and proper nutrition to this large number of people. Secondly, Work and education should be compulsory for rohingya. If they find the opportunity to read and write and work, it will be easy for them to adjust with Bangladeshi people. Last but not the least Bangladesh government should keep pressurizing the Myanmar government to ensure Rohingya's safety in their country because without ensuring their safety in Myanmar we can not send them back to their country.

So, the best way is to improve their condition and standard of living and make them aware of the importance of the forest. The inclusion of LPG can replace the demand for fuelwood and side by side we can use this vast manpower to our side by making Rohingyas plant trees. Reforestation by the hand of Rohingyas will mean they will cover their surroundings with plants and trees which will gradually bring back the forest cover once we had. The best way to manage a community is to lift its standard of living. Which will minimize their basic needs and turn them into resources. less

Biogas may be a viable alternative to fuelwood. The main raw materials for biogas production are cattle & poultry. There is enough pasture to run the farm. About 8,000 families live in there. If one person from each family gets the opportunity to work on a centrally established farm, it will create employment. The farm will provide economic & food demand. They will be able to export these too. Royal Bengal Tiger,Saltwater crocodile,Dolphine,Hawksbill Turtle are some endangered species of the largest
mangrove forest of the world,SUNDARBAN.My 1st step in protecting them is to secure their habitat.First of all,
their habitats have to be identified seperately by drones. To protect their habitats, stations have to be set up one by one at certain distances (Consider 2 station within 1km) around their residence. Each station will have a tracker which will be able to detect any boat within 1 km
range and a 5 member BGB team will work for every 4km area. Now, how will it track?

Beside this,i will tell others that the tiger and its habitat are under threat and that they need our help.I will form forums (or join existing ones) on the web for discussions and exchange views on tiger conservation.I'll speak to tiger and wild ungulate poachers and persuade them to give up poaching. How to improve the condition of the local community and saving Sundarbans from degradation? One the simple answer to this question is by leaving the Sundarbans alone, without any human intervention. As a result, they will able to work with mainstream people of our country.
Secondly, government could build house for the local communities people(Munda & Others). So, they won't need to collect golpata or cut tree.
Thirdly, Forest Department could recruit local communities' people as forest guard because they know the forest much more better than outsiders. So, smuggling would be reduced. When the livelihood of the local communities will be secured, they won't hurt the forest anymore.
Fourthly, government should take some steps to control the wastes of the Rampal power plant. These wasted shouldn’t throw in the forest and reuse them. less

It protects our country from the cyclones and tidal surges. The local communities who live around the sundarbans depending on the resources of sundarbans directly or indirectly. They unboundedly hunt the wildlife and deforest the land for cultivation. Maximum people live below the poverty line. So, we should take different initiatives to improve their condition and to save the sundarbans. We should plan co-management initiatives like- awareness raising, alternate income generation, eco-tourism, efforts towards social mobilization and limited boat license certificate. Community based tourism can be introduced as an alternative livelihood measure. Various international organizations, NGOs or banks should come forward to grant funds for local communities so that they can consume other sources of maintenance. We can't provide such a huge population with other instant jobs in such a low-income county. Best way is to create a reserve for the fauna middle of the forest as the reserves in Chittagong. People can collect wax, fishes etc. but within the limit. Nature will operate the ecosystem there. No problem with that. After a certain time, they would close that part of the forest for its recovery and open other parts of the forest for the locals to use. So, they are highly dependent on forest. And the main reasons of this dependency are the mono-cropping characteristics of their agriculture, low literacy rate, lack of awareness, lack of facilities etc.
So, Govt. And other agencies Should focus on their education, sanitation and other facilities. As most of them are farmer and do fish farming can practice different agroforestry systems but for this, more researches should be done to ensure which crops, trees grow well in these areas because salinity is a big problem here. And obviously sustainable dams need to be built so that tidal water does not reach the locality.

their habitats have to be identified seperately by drones.

The only thing the government can do to save the Sundarbans is to minimize human intervention by not polluting the nearby area, by not disturbing the animals and birds, by not allowing boats to carry goods, by not polluting the rivers with harmful... less

Integrated Resources Management Plans should be formulated by the Forest Department of Sundarbans. less

We can't provide such a huge population with other instant jobs in such a low-income county. Best way is to create a reserve for the fauna middle of the forest as the reserves in Chittagong. People can collect wax, fishes etc. but within the limit. Nature will operate the ecosystem there. No problem with that. I think the resources in one third of the Sundarbans are enough for a good livelihood. But the forest ministry should have to take necessary initiative for the moribund animals like the Royal Bengal Tiger. And the patrolling team there should have to be honest with their duties. less

To prevent this problem I will do something from my own perspective to improve the condition of the local community alongside the Sundarban. Firstly I can increase awareness among the local community by providing the message of saving the Sundarban through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or published different advertisement. Secondly I can go to the local area and campaign the importance of the Sundarban. Thirdly I can encourage different NGOs so that they will work with the local people for earning their livelihood. If the local people have alternative earning opportunities they do not use the Sundarban forest resources. For creating alternative job opportunities I can provide training among them like Fish cultivation, Animal husbandry Stitch etc. Finally I can encourage the local people so that their children... less

The collect almost everything of their livelihood from this forest. So it is not right to restrct all the area for them. But if we permit them then they might make a big harm to the forest. So my proposal is to give permission with some limitations. For example, people can collect from from Sundarbans river in some sprcific month. People who collect Golpata or honey can only some selected area. By this process both the forest and people around thus forest will be benifited. Beside making alternative source of income for them might be another way to improve their condition. less

Authority should limit the access to certain parts of the forest for the local people to use its resources. They should also limit the uses of its resource. They would open a certain part of the forest for the local to use it. After a certain time, they would close that part of the forest for its recovery and open other parts of the forest for the locals to use. During that recovery time local should be restricted to go to that area and authority would take necessary steps like plantation to recover that area.
Authority would strictly prohibit the locals from getting
access to the area where wildlife lives mostly. In this way wildlife’s in the Sundarbans can be conserved.
Authority would keep in check that the locals wouldn’t use
any poison or any harmful chemicals in the water to catch fish.
Finally, the young generation of the locals should be
educated... less

To earn a livelihood, they have been involved in fishing, tree cutting, honey collection etc. professions for a long time, so it is difficult to stop them with immediate action.
Central government should intervene in this matter. Developmental projects of the government and NGO can be launched.
In all the villages adjoining the Sundarbans, the government can select the required number of leaders from among the locals and give them responsibilities. Different leaders can be placed in different sectors. Locals will work in each group, the amount and boundaries of their resource collection from the forest can be determined. Group leaders will have the rules of accountability. Wild law and law enforcement must be enforced.

Recommendation to improve the condition of local community alongside saving Sundarbans from degradation:
1. Creating awareness – People of the area should be made aware about the issues faced by the Sundarbans. They should be made aware of the consequences of manmade hazards like deforestation etc.
2. Public -Private partnership –The local communities should be provided with funds so that they can consume other sources of nourishment.
3. Encouragement to eco-tourism – The local communities should be a participant of the friendly tourism practices in order to encourage eco-tourism which would aim to benefit the whole of the community.
4. Creating alternative sources of livelihood –Government should introduce alternatives for income generation so that the local people need not depend on the mangrove forest resources.
5. Responsibility of the... less

in India. The local people alongside Sundarbans are completely dependent on this forest for their livelihood. They cut trees, catching fish, collecting honey, harvesting Golpata, etc. Above some of the work they are doing illegally. The main challenge is to improve their lives without degrading the Sundarbans if we will plan sustainably. Although economic gains are important, ecological and environmental issues must be considered in long-term development plans. The Sundarbans mangroves region is a UN Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization World Heritage Site, a Ramsar site, and a Class 3 tiger conservation landscape of global priority. If the local people will work jointly with the tourism board, some people will get a job like; tourist guide, driver guard, etc. They can accommodate tourists as well as provide some... less

If they get their needs which they get from Sundarbans, our forest will be safe. And those projects harm Sundarbans, they should be stopped. Besides Eco-tourism can be a safe way for economic... less
