They need moisture and a good food source along with a little shelter to survive and thrive! Ladybugs prey on other insects, mostly Aphids.
In cold, they seem to take shelter and like to bury themselves underground. And in cold conditions, their food sources become scarce! Therefore, the container having good sunlight for optimum temperature, wet soil for water, and plants for shelter makes the perfect living condition for the ladybug even though the lid is always closed! less

In a typical greenhouse, sunlight is trapped within the glass walls of the infrastructures and the thus the seeds have enough heat and solar energy to germinate into plants and so on. Don't you think the plants are producing oxygen in the daytime as they are growing and carbon dioxide at night? Thus the water vapor is also locked in within the structure and there you go, we have a complete eco-system.
Now lets talk about a case much smaller than the greenhouse. Yes, it the ladybug's new home, the glass container. The plants growing inside the jar is serving two purposes- oxygen for the ladybug and also its food.

Symbiosis means interaction between two dissimilar organism where both benefit from being with each other. When we are putting the ladybug and the plants inside the glass jar they are getting sealed from the rest of the world. The ladybug respires which releases carbon dioxide, which is taken up by the leaves of the plant. The leaves also get sufficient sunlight from the sun as the glass is transparent. And it also gets minerals from the charcoals in the soil ans as the soil was wet plants can absorb water from it too . The plants use this for photosynthesis and to produce oxygen and glucose. The glucose is used by the plants for food and the oxygen is used by the ladybug for respiration. The ladybug also feeds on the plants to survive. This is how the plant and the ladybug depends on each other to survive. This is known as symbiosis and this is why the plant and the ladybug both survived even if the container... less

Plants have a process called photosynthesis which requires CO2 and sunlight to produce carbohydrates, water and oxygen for the plants' growth. Those plants need carbon dioxide to grow (plants absorb carbon dioxide through their stomata). For our container analogy, we can say that the plants inside the container are using photosynthesis to create their own food supply from sunlight and CO2. The gravel supplies nutrients such as nitrogen, magnesium and phosphorus which play important role in plant growth. Charcoal also acts like gravel by keeping up humidity levels for optimum growth conditions. The ladybug eats the plants, but both organisms benefit from receiving nutrients from each other. less

*Plants and algae give oxygen and get Co2 from ladybugs and other organisms.
*Plants get energy from the sun and provide food for organisms. The energy stays almost the same as bacteria and protozoa decompose dead organisms and fallen leaves.
*Bacteria and protozoa break down the waste and make ammonia into nitrate that plants can take. So the air stays clean.
*Charcoal removes excess humidity.
*Water evaporates but comes back to the system like rain.
The jer completes the energy cycle, Co2 cycle, Oxygen Cycle, Hydrogen cycle, decomposition, and controls humidity and air quality. So, Ladybug and her friends can live happily by supporting each other. less

The formula for calculating volume is: V=L*W*H where L is length, W is width and H is height. As you can see in the diagram above, the L of the smaller giraffe is 6m and its width and height are both 1m each. Thus the total surface area (6x1) + (1x1)=7 sq m.

Using generic maths formula, we can write: Given: L=6, W = 1 & H=1 --> So, S=(6x1)+(1x1)=7 sq m --> VL=5400 (given) --> RATIO=(Total Surface Area)/ Volume --> S/VL = 7/(5400) or 0.0118696... (approx.)

Suppose,the volume of smaller one = x
Ratio of their Heights => 4/6= 2/3

If two giraffes are similar then their corresponding linear measures (widths, heights, base lengths, etc.) are proportional too. In question, it represents the subject of ‘similarity statistics’. This means that the ratio of height, length, and width will be the same.
In the equation, we are seeing that the dimension of both the values are different which needs to be equal. Over here, the height is a one-dimensional unit(meter) but the volume is three-dimensional (meter^3). So, we need to cube it to make it evenly dimensional.
''Why would it work?''
Otherwise, it is not according to the rules and the answer will be wrong.
So, given,
Height of small giraff= 4m
= 4 x 4 x4 = 216m^3
Height of big giraff= 6m
= 6x 6 x6 = 64 m^3
Volume of big giraff= 5400m^3
and, let the volume of small giraffe be 'x' m^3.
Now. we know,
the formula of similarity,
Height of big giraffe/Height of small giraffe=Volume of big giraffe/Volume of small giraff.
==> 216/64 = 5400/ 'x'
==>216x =345600
==> x =1600
Therefore, the volume of the small giraff is 1600 m^3. less

And the rest of the things are as given. The equation will be (common ratio)^3=ratio of volumes. Thus it will work.
Now, the question remains, 'why it will work?' It will work because,I have done the correct things. Now, imagine one thing. I could show ratio of sides equal to the ratio of volumes. In that case that won't be correct and the answer would be 3600m3. Because,a one dimensional unit can't be equal to a three dimensional unit. less

If we use similarity formula,then,
Hbig/Hsmall=Vbig/Vsmall
But in an equation,the dimensions of the both sides must beequal.In this equation,height is a one-dimensional unit (m),but volume is a three-dimensional unit (m^3).In order to satisfy the condition of an equation,we have
to take the cube of both "Hbig" & "Hsmall".Then the

Then why this will work?
If two giraffes are similar then their corresponding linear measures (widths, heights, base lengths, etc.) are proportional too. And we also know volume is expressed in the cubic unit because it is the sum of three measurements (length, width, and depth) that are multiplied together. Cubic units are cm3, m3 , and cubic feet.
Now, the main point is which toy size he should keep for manufacturing more toys?
I think he should manufacture smaller giraffes since small things are sturdier in proportion to their size. Moreover, the small Giraffe will be able to hold up fine. But, the larger giraffe built with the same proportions as the small one will collapse under its weight. This large giraffe also needs to have timbers that are thicker compared to its size. We can calculate the volume of a smaller giraffe by using given values along with simple math calculation. So If the height of 6 makes a 5400 m³, then the first part of the proportion is 6/5400 m³ The second part of the proportion has a numerator of 4 because of the height of 6 changes into a height of 4. The proportion should be set up as 6/5400m³=4/x because the bottom number is the volume, and the top is the height, and we want to find the volume of the similar smaller giraffe.
To solve the proportion, let's suppose smaller giraffe volume is x, so if we cross multiply the numerator and denominator, so it would be in this way,

This method will work when all the sides are of the same length. Then, we can find the volume of a cube just knowing the measurement of only one side. If a cube has side length "x" then Volume = x × x × x a which results in the formula, Volume = x³. This is where we get the term called"cubed". When we use power to the 3 over something, we call it cubed. When units of Measure are calculated, we find the volume of an object, and the units are cubed. This means that if the measurements of the sides are in miters, then the answer will be in cubed miters. less

==> 216/64 = 5400/ 'x'
==>216x =345600
==> x =1600
Therefore, the volume of the small giraff is 1600 m^3. less

There are various styles of guitars all which have different sounds and their unique sound comes from the materials of the strings and the composition of the bodies and also the air between them. There are six strings on a guitar each with an open notes of E2, A2,D3,G3, B3 and E4 and their corresponding frequences are 82 Hz, 110Hz, 147Hz, 196Hz, 247Hz,330Hz. These frequences represent the root tone of each string. So, when you play guitar, these strings transfer their sound into the body of the guitar where they set up an internal resonance on the air Chamber made by the body and cause the back plate and face plate to vibrate. And these vibration cause the air to compress and we hear the compression waves in the air as sound. So, this is how guitar works.
For this reason, when sarah and Ali attemted sychronously to play acoustic guitar the same voicings , it created a moment of loud thumping noices. less

This would explain why when they are playing at the same time, there was an odd but clear sound that they were not supposed to produce.
The reason for this is because whenever any objects vibrate or moves, it produces interference. When one object moves in a particular direction or changes its motion suddenly, there will be waves forming in all directions. If another object has these waves hitting them as well while moving around by itself then there will be interference which will result in having waves being lost or changed.
The concept of physics used is applied in the principle of interference. When two or more objects cause vibration or motion, there will be waves colliding with each other and either being canceled out or changed by a small fraction. This is an example of interference that can lead to many different problems down the road. less

Here when they both play the guitar simultaneously both of them produce waves of similar Frequency. These waves are produced interact with eachother & produce constructive & destructive superposition. This leads to amplitude at a few points to become double as displacement at that point is high. This leads to the loud noise as high amplitude is responsible for high sound. To avoid this they need to play different cords or change the frequency of the waves produced. less

the acoustic guitar synchronously,two sound waves were generated from two guiters at the exact same time.I mean each one produced the same sound wave and both the waves were in same phase.Now,what is phase!
If two waves have the same amplitude,same frequency and same wavelength,then it is said that both the waves are in same phase.
So when two or more same-phased
waves arrive at the same point (when both started playing their guitar),the waves superimpose themselves on one another.Actually the amplitudes of the wave superimpose.This term is known as-Superposition.So,the resultant wave will simply be the addition of the amplitudes of the individual waves.This superposition
produces Constructive Interference which produces a wave that has twice the amplitude of the individual waves.The higher the amplitude,the louder the sound
will be.

From this discussion,it has been realized that when Sarah & Ali started playing at the same time,the sound waves generated from their instrument superimposed on each other and created the wave which had twice the amplitude of that individual wave.So a loud thumping noise was

The force exerted (Trying to lift the tree) was, Tension force of rope=Tension force at a certain distance from the End of the rope= Force that would be required to push (lift) the car upwards if it were not attached to anything else.
In physics it's called as- "The Loewy Effect"
Now, when he went near the tree, it was easier to push upwards on car since it's a force acting in the opposite direction of his weight. AND thus, when Andy started pushing upwards, he seemed to be lifting it up instead of just pushing it up
So, he was applying force on the car in such way that it seems like car is being lifted up. By pushing upwards at a certain distance from the root of tree, there was no weight (applied) in opposite direction and thus moving towards applied force gives him more effect than when pushing downwards.
Thus, the force to lift the car was directly proportional to distance from tree's roots. less

Now I will describe it using Andy’s phenomena.In that criteria the root of the tree was the center point mentioned above.Imagine those... less

So when they were trying to uproot the tree from the bottom side,which means the applied force was near the
center point(the root).As a result the moment became smaller and for that,it became very difficult to move the tree.But when Andy applied that same 10N force at the other side of the tree,the distance between the root and the force became much bigger.Then the moment was bigger than the previous one.So,it became easier to move the tree then.
So the whole concept was about
Moment of a force. less

At a distance further from the roots, the distance you have to move the tree from the ground to upright is bigger than the distance closer to the roots. To make up for the short distance, you have to give a powerful force, which makes it harder to push the tree up. The weight of the tree is spread out across the distance, a longer distance means the weight is more spread out, making it easier to lift the tree.

-Pivot: Is the fixed point over which something can turn or move about. For ex. In a wheelbarrow, the wheel will be the pivot.
-Turning effect of force applied: This is simply the turning of the object about the pivot. For ex. A spanner being turned about a bolt (pivot) to tighten or loosen it.
Here, the tree’s roots were still embedded in the ground and we know that fixed point forms the pivot. So if the roots are firmly in the ground, it won’t be possible to uproot the tree from the bottom end(roots’ side). If they tried lifting the tree over a short distance from the pivot, this would give the less efficient moment and would need a hefty amount of force. However, if the tree was lifted from the other end, force required is less and gives the proper result. This is basically because the... less

things:
a.
There is a pivot (i.e. the point at which the

b.
The effect of a force is greatest at the furthest
distance possible from the pivot
What the people there were doing wrong was that they were
trying to lift the tree from near the pivot. However, the tree hadn’t
completely uprooted and had little effect upon lifting the tree. Andy’s
instincts told him to lift the tree at the furthest end from the pivot, meaning
that the effect of the force will be at its peak. In doing so, they were able
to save the person inside the car. less

Moment of force is the idea to make a body to rotate on a pivot. Moment has a simple rule that is the closer you are to the pivot or the point the more energy you would require to rotate the body. This rule is obeyed by many objects which we use in our day-to-day life. Like a spanner handle is placed far from the pivot to rotate the nut or nail easier with less force. Similarly, in this case the pivot is the root of the tree, it is the turning point for the tree, when the crowd gathered they applied force very close to the pivot or the root this cause the tree not to budge but when Andy positioned the force on the far end from the pivot it made it easier for the crowd to move the tree. In simple, we can sum it up that the greater the distance the less the force needed and the smaller the distance the more force is needed which this scenario perfectly portrayed. less

Momentum is the product of force and the perpendicular distance between the pivot and line of force. He considered providing a force greater than the weight of the tree, but this is only feasible if the force is delivered on the other side of the root.
It is a fact that when a force is applied far from the pivot, the force is sufficient to elevate the other force/weight. Mr. Andy used that notion when assisting the individual.

The idea about moments is that the further a force acts away from the pivot(the turning point of an object), the more effective it will be in turning the object. For example, the knob of a door is situated the farthest from its pivot, the hinges. In the picture, we can see that the tree is tilted down towards the side of its roots. From this, we can guess that(counting the car as a pivot) there is a greater load acting downwards in that side of the tree, than the side with the leaves. The way the people were doing it before, they were wasting strength overcoming all the those forces and uprooting the tree. They were using the car as a pivot, and the distance between their force and the car/pivot was not much. However, pushing in an anticlockwise direction on the other side, with the leaves, shifts the pivot from being the car to being the roots, all the way on the other side of the tree. The pivot being far away, the forces proved effective. less

As mentioned in the scenario, the roots of the tree were fixed with the ground so it was a fixed point and a fixed point is called a pivot. This pivot allowed the tree to be removed over the car. According to the principles of moment, the distance from the pivot to the point where the force is applied is directly proportional to the moment, meaning the longer this distance, the greater the rotation of the tree and that is why Mr Andy applied his force on the farther end of the tree so that with less force would produce greater moment due to the longer distance, away from the tree and was successful to remove it and save the passenger. less

The car was acting as a pivot here because the weight of the whole tree was on the car. The bottom side of the tree was not uprooted, so it was heavier than the upper part, so more force was needed to lift it from near the roots. Therefore, it was easier to lift the tree upwards at a certain distance away from the root of the tree as there was less weight in the upper direction.
Today, we learned about a great example in the field of physics. this topic can be identified as the 'moments'. Moments are directly proportional to the force and distance of a body, just like this one! Easy-Peasy! less

Moment of a force is a measure of its tendency to cause a body to rotate on a pivot. Moment justifies that closer you are to the pivot, more force is required to move the object. This law is obeyed by many objects which we use in our daily life. For example, if we use a nut-cracker the more the distance is, the less force is required. The less the distance is, the more force is required. Similarly, in this case the pivot is the root of the tree which is the turning point. The crowd tried to lift the tree by going closer to the pivot but they were doing it wrong as the tree is not fully uprooted. But, Andy did it in a correct way because the distance was more from the pivot which made it easier to move the tree which ultimately helped to save the person. In simpler words, if we sum up, the more the distance from the pivot the less force is required and the less the distance from the pivot the more force is required to lift the body which is demonstrated in this scenario. less

This four letter word isn’t a comfortable thing in someone's life. You have to go through a series of depressions, complications and sleepless nights if this term ever get connected with you. Well, like everyone else, I also have many situations in my life where I considered myself as a complete loser.You know being an introvert makes you disconnected from social life and it's not a joke. Being like that I was ditached from every success I could have achieved earlier. I was a shy person who could not even order a food for herself in any restaurant. I was someone who used to know the answers of most of the questions in school but always hesitated to talk. But you can not be like this forever right? I had my will to change the awkwardness inside me and I succeed. If you want something truly, you will achieve that no matter what. Just have patience. People used to say I am unable to make others understand my thoughts. I was Bullied for it. Last year I felt depressed but didn't find anyone to share my pain. So I expressed my thoughts and pain in words on my facebook timeline. Alhamdulillah, Not only it cures my heavy heart but also friends start liking my writings and give compliments. Then one day, a friend asked me to do an internship as a content writer. I had no idea about it. I googled, learned, did low paid writing jobs, sent CVs, gave interviews and got rejected many times. Every time I fail I learn something new from my mistakes. Before the year ends, alhamdulillah, I have 2 paid freelancing writing works, one internship. Even i won a physics quiz of coolinventors though I have been a business student from the very beginning. I have many 'loser to successful' stories, but 'how an introvert girl becomes successful in sharing her thoughts' is... less

The boys were about to give up and almost lost hope. But they stood together and today their fight has led to a worldwide reputation as one of the best and most well-known K-pop bands in the world.
Taehyung was a son of a farmer; RM's mom used to pressure him about his studies, career; Suga, who loved music but his family always burnt all his hard work as they wanted him to focus on his studies.
The band has almost spread out because they don’t have enough money to continue, no funds, so a few members had to choose between food and transportation and do two things. Behind their confident presence, they were constantly battling self-doubt and frustration. In fact, there is a difference even if everyone loses.
