They need moisture and a good food source along with a little shelter to survive and thrive! Ladybugs prey on other insects, mostly Aphids.
In cold, they seem to take shelter and like to bury themselves underground. And in cold conditions, their food sources become scarce! Therefore, the container having good sunlight for optimum temperature, wet soil for water, and plants for shelter makes the perfect living condition for the ladybug even though the lid is always closed! less

In a typical greenhouse, sunlight is trapped within the glass walls of the infrastructures and the thus the seeds have enough heat and solar energy to germinate into plants and so on. Don't you think the plants are producing oxygen in the daytime as they are growing and carbon dioxide at night? Thus the water vapor is also locked in within the structure and there you go, we have a complete eco-system.
Now lets talk about a case much smaller than the greenhouse. Yes, it the ladybug's new home, the glass container. The plants growing inside the jar is serving two purposes- oxygen for the ladybug and also its food.

Symbiosis means interaction between two dissimilar organism where both benefit from being with each other. When we are putting the ladybug and the plants inside the glass jar they are getting sealed from the rest of the world. The ladybug respires which releases carbon dioxide, which is taken up by the leaves of the plant. The leaves also get sufficient sunlight from the sun as the glass is transparent. And it also gets minerals from the charcoals in the soil ans as the soil was wet plants can absorb water from it too . The plants use this for photosynthesis and to produce oxygen and glucose. The glucose is used by the plants for food and the oxygen is used by the ladybug for respiration. The ladybug also feeds on the plants to survive. This is how the plant and the ladybug depends on each other to survive. This is known as symbiosis and this is why the plant and the ladybug both survived even if the container... less

Plants have a process called photosynthesis which requires CO2 and sunlight to produce carbohydrates, water and oxygen for the plants' growth. Those plants need carbon dioxide to grow (plants absorb carbon dioxide through their stomata). For our container analogy, we can say that the plants inside the container are using photosynthesis to create their own food supply from sunlight and CO2. The gravel supplies nutrients such as nitrogen, magnesium and phosphorus which play important role in plant growth. Charcoal also acts like gravel by keeping up humidity levels for optimum growth conditions. The ladybug eats the plants, but both organisms benefit from receiving nutrients from each other. less

-Food source.
-Clean air that does not contain harmful gas like ammonia.
-Suitable humidity
-Available water source
The jer fulfills the requirements like this-
*Plants and algae give oxygen and get Co2 from ladybugs and other organisms.
*Plants get energy from the sun and provide food for organisms. The energy stays almost the same as bacteria and protozoa decompose dead organisms and fallen leaves.
*Bacteria and protozoa break down the waste and make ammonia into nitrate that plants can take. So the air stays clean.
*Charcoal removes excess humidity.
*Water evaporates but comes back to the system like rain.
The jer completes the energy cycle, Co2 cycle, Oxygen Cycle, Hydrogen cycle, decomposition, and controls humidity and air quality. So, Ladybug and her friends can live happily by supporting each other. less

The formula for calculating volume is: V=L*W*H where L is length, W is width and H is height. As you can see in the diagram above, the L of the smaller giraffe is 6m and its width and height are both 1m each. Thus the total surface area (6x1) + (1x1)=7 sq m.
Since we know that the larger giraffe has a volume of 5400 m³, we need to find how many times more or less than this number 7sq m represents when compared to the larger giraffe with a volume of 5400 m³.

This will give us an approximate answer for the volume of the smaller giraffes.
Using generic maths formula, we can write: Given: L=6, W = 1 & H=1 --> So, S=(6x1)+(1x1)=7 sq m --> VL=5400 (given) --> RATIO=(Total Surface Area)/ Volume --> S/VL = 7/(5400) or 0.0118696... (approx.)
Thus, we have a ratio of 0.0118696... (approx.) between the surface area of the smaller giraffe and a larger one. Now we need to multiply this number with the volume of the larger giraffe in order to find out how many times the smaller giraffe's volume is compared to that of the larger giraffe.
This gives us a more accurate answer for the volume of smaller giraffes! Vsmaller Giraffes =0.0345691...(approx.) or 836 m³ less

Suppose,the volume of smaller one = x
Ratio of their Heights => 4/6= 2/3
Again,if we cube this the result will be(2/3)^3= 8/27.
This is similar as the volume so we can write a equation with it. Now, the equation stands → 8/27=x/5400
x=1600m3
Smaller giraffe's volume is 1600m3
Now, 'How my formula will work?' that's the question. The very first thing mentioned here is they are similar. That means ratio of length, width and height will be same. We were given with two heights. From that we have calculated the ratio. And the least form came 2/3 that means it can't be divided any further. So,it is the common ratio among the length, width and height.

And the rest of the things are as given. The equation will be (common ratio)^3=ratio of volumes. Thus it will work.
Now, the question remains, 'why it will work?' It will work because,I have done the correct things. Now, imagine one thing. I could show ratio of sides equal to the ratio of volumes. In that case that won't be correct and the answer would be 3600m3. Because,a one dimensional unit can't be equal to a three dimensional unit. less

If two giraffes are similar then their corresponding linear measures (widths, heights, base lengths, etc.) are proportional too. And we also know volume is expressed in the cubic unit because it is the sum of three measurements (length, width, and depth) that are multiplied together. Cubic units are cm3, m3 , and cubic feet.
Now, the main point is which toy size he should keep for manufacturing more toys?
I think he should manufacture smaller giraffes since small things are sturdier in proportion to their size. Moreover, the small Giraffe will be able to hold up fine. This method will work when all the sides are of the same length. Then, we can find the volume of a cube just knowing the measurement of only one side. If a cube has side length "x" then Volume = x × x × x a which results in the formula, Volume = x³. This is where we get the term called"cubed". In question, it represents the subject of ‘similarity statistics’. This means that the ratio of height, length, and width will be the same.
In the equation, we are seeing that the dimension of both the values are different which needs to be equal. Over here, the height is a one-dimensional unit(meter) but the volume is three-dimensional (meter^3). So, we need to cube it to make it evenly dimensional.
''Why would it work?''
Otherwise, it is not according to the rules and the answer will be wrong.
So, given,
Height of small giraff= 4m
= 4 x 4 x4 = 216m^3
Height of big giraff= 6m
= 6x 6 x6 = 64 m^3
Volume of big giraff= 5400m^3
and, let the volume of small giraffe be 'x' m^3.
Now. we know,
the formula of similarity,
Height of big giraffe/Height of small giraffe=Volume of big giraffe/Volume of small giraff.
==> 216/64 = 5400/ 'x'
==>216x =345600
==> x =1600
Therefore, the volume of the small giraff is 1600 m^3. less

There are various styles of guitars all which have different sounds and their unique sound comes from the materials of the strings and the composition of the bodies and also the air between them. There are six strings on a guitar each with an open notes of E2, A2,D3,G3, B3 and E4 and their corresponding frequences are 82 Hz, 110Hz, 147Hz, 196Hz, 247Hz,330Hz. These frequences represent the root tone of each string. So, when you play guitar, these strings transfer their sound into the body of the guitar where they set up an internal resonance on the air Chamber made by the body and cause the back plate and face plate to vibrate. And these vibration cause the air to compress and we hear the compression waves in the air as sound. So, this is how guitar works.

This would explain why when they are playing at the same time, there was an odd but clear sound that they were not supposed to produce.
The reason for this is because whenever any objects vibrate or moves, it produces interference. When one object moves in a particular direction or changes its motion suddenly, there will be waves forming in all directions. If another object has these waves hitting them as well while moving around by itself then there will be interference which will result in having waves being lost or changed.
The concept of physics used is applied in the principle of interference. When two or more objects cause vibration or motion, there will be waves colliding with each other and either being canceled out or changed by a small fraction. This is an example of interference that can lead to many different problems down the road. less

Here when they both play the guitar simultaneously both of them produce waves of similar Frequency. These waves are produced interact with eachother & produce constructive & destructive superposition. This leads to amplitude at a few points to become double as displacement at that point is high. If two waves have the same amplitude, same frequency and same wavelength, then it is said that both the waves are in same phase.
So when two or more same-phased
waves arrive at the same point (when both started playing their guitar),the waves superimpose themselves on one another.Actually the amplitudes of the wave superimpose. This term is known as-Superposition.So,the resultant wave will simply be the addition of the amplitudes of the individual waves. This superposition
produces Constructive Interference which produces a wave that has twice the amplitude of the individual waves. The higher the amplitude, the louder the sound
will be.
On the other hand,it can be said very easily... less

From this discussion,it has been realized that when Sarah & Ali started playing at the same time, the sound waves generated from their instrument superimposed on each other and created the wave which had twice the amplitude of that individual wave.So a loud thumping noise was
generated. But their ear were get used to it slowly. So,it didn’t affect that much later less

actually this happens due to resonance frequency . this is the frequency where superposition of waves can generate. same happen in the case of Sarah and Ali frequency of both musical instrument match suddenly this create loud thumping noise.

The force exerted (Trying to lift the tree) was, Tension force of rope=Tension force at a certain distance from the End of the rope= Force that would be required to push (lift) the car upwards if it were not attached to anything else.
In physics it's called as- "The Loewy Effect"
Now, when he went near the tree, it was easier to push upwards on car since it's a force acting in the opposite direction of his weight. AND thus, when Andy started pushing upwards, he seemed to be lifting it up instead of just pushing it up
So, he was applying force on the car in such way that it seems like car is being lifted up. By pushing upwards at a certain distance from the root of tree, there was no weight (applied) in opposite direction and thus moving towards applied force gives him more effect than when pushing downwards.
Thus, the force to lift the car was directly proportional to distance from tree's roots. less

Now I will describe it using Andy’s phenomena. In that criteria the root of the tree was the center point mentioned above.Imagine those... less

So when they were trying to uproot the tree from the bottom side, which means the applied force was near the
center point(the root). As a result the moment became smaller and for that,it became very difficult to move the tree. But when Andy applied that same 10N force at the other side of the tree, the distance between the root and the force became much bigger. Then the moment was bigger than the previous one. So,it became easier to move the tree then.
So the whole concept was about
Moment of a force. less

At a distance further from the roots, the distance you have to move the tree from the ground to upright is bigger than the distance closer to the roots. To make up for the short distance, you have to give a powerful force, which makes it harder to push the tree up. The weight of the tree is spread out across the distance, a longer distance means the weight is more spread out, making it easier to lift the tree.

-Pivot: Is the fixed point over which something can turn or move about. For ex. In a wheelbarrow, the wheel will be the pivot.
-Turning effect of force applied: This is simply the turning of the object about the pivot. For ex. A spanner being turned about a bolt (pivot) to tighten or loosen it.
Here, the tree’s roots were still embedded in the ground and we know that fixed point forms the pivot. So if the roots are firmly in the ground, it won’t be possible to uproot the tree from the bottom end(roots’ side). If they tried lifting the tree over a short distance from the pivot, this would give the less efficient moment and would need a hefty amount of force. However, if the tree was lifted from the other end, force required is less and gives the proper result. This is basically because the... less

a.
There is a pivot (i.e. the point at which the

b.

What the people there were doing wrong was that they were

completely uprooted and had little effect upon lifting the tree. Andy’s
instincts told him to lift the tree at the furthest end from the pivot, meaning
that the effect of the force will be at its peak. In doing so, they were able

Moment of force is the idea to make a body to rotate on a pivot. Moment has a simple rule that is the closer you are to the pivot or the point the more energy you would require to rotate the body. This rule is obeyed by many objects which we use in our day-to-day life. Like a spanner handle is placed far from the pivot to rotate the nut or nail easier with less force. Similarly, in this case the pivot is the root of the tree, it is the turning point for the tree, when the crowd gathered they applied force very close to the pivot or the root this cause the tree not to budge but when Andy positioned the force on the far end from the pivot it made it easier for the crowd to move the tree. In simple, we can sum it up that the greater the distance the less the force needed and the smaller the distance the more force is needed which this scenario perfectly portrayed. less

Momentum is the product of force and the perpendicular distance between the pivot and line of force. He considered providing a force greater than the weight of the tree, but this is only feasible if the force is delivered on the other side of the root.
It is a fact that when a force is applied far from the pivot, the force is sufficient to elevate the other force/weight. Mr. Andy used that notion when assisting the individual.

The idea about moments is that the further a force acts away from the pivot(the turning point of an object), the more effective it will be in turning the object. For example, the knob of a door is situated the farthest from its pivot, the hinges. In the picture, we can see that the tree is tilted down towards the side of its roots. From this, we can guess that(counting the car as a pivot) there is a greater load acting downwards in that side of the tree, than the side with the leaves. The way the people were doing it before, they were wasting strength overcoming all the those forces and uprooting the tree. They were using the car as a pivot, and the distance between their force and the car/pivot was not much. However, pushing in an anticlockwise direction on the other side, with the leaves, shifts the pivot from being the car to being the roots, all the way on the other side of the tree. The pivot being far away, the forces proved effective. less

As mentioned in the scenario, the roots of the tree were fixed with the ground so it was a fixed point and a fixed point is called a pivot. This pivot allowed the tree to be removed over the car. According to the principles of moment, the distance from the pivot to the point where the force is applied is directly proportional to the moment, meaning the longer this distance, the greater the rotation of the tree and that is why Mr Andy applied his force on the farther end of the tree so that with less force would produce greater moment due to the longer distance, away from the tree and was successful to remove it and save the passenger. less

The car was acting as a pivot here because the weight of the whole tree was on the car. The bottom side of the tree was not uprooted, so it was heavier than the upper part, so more force was needed to lift it from near the roots. Therefore, it was easier to lift the tree upwards at a certain distance away from the root of the tree as there was less weight in the upper direction.
Today, we learned about a great example in the field of physics. this topic can be identified as the 'moments'. Moments are directly proportional to the force and distance of a body, just like this one! Easy-Peasy! less

Moment of a force is a measure of its tendency to cause a body to rotate on a pivot. Moment justifies that closer you are to the pivot, more force is required to move the object. This law is obeyed by many objects which we use in our daily life. For example, if we use a nut-cracker the more the distance is, the less force is required. The less the distance is, the more force is required. Similarly, in this case the pivot is the root of the tree which is the turning point. The crowd tried to lift the tree by going closer to the pivot but they were doing it wrong as the tree is not fully uprooted. But, Andy did it in a correct way because the distance was more from the pivot which made it easier to move the tree which ultimately helped to save the person. In simpler words, if we sum up, the more the distance from the pivot the less force is required and the less the distance from the pivot the more force is required to lift the body which is demonstrated in this scenario. less

They were even planning for my wedding after my SSC exam as they were very sure that I wouldn't be able to pass the exam. But fortunately, somehow, I surprised them with an unexpected result and got a chance to be a part of a renowned college.
I was thoroughly weak in English and couldn't bring any progress in my speaking, reading or writing ability. In the meantime, my younger sister was studying in an English medium school, and it's very obvious she was far better than me. While I was struggling with my disability, she started to mock me. The memory was truly hurtful.
But I took it as a challenge. I took an oath that I am going to change myself anyhow, at any cost. I started to read English newspapers, listening to the BBC, CNN news reports, and the most important thing that helped me the most was English movies; I started to watch those almost regularly. This desperation took me to another level. I got a chance in a very reputed University, finished my study, gave my first interview to an English medium school and imagine what, I became a part of that school. It's not the end; after my wedding, I was frustrated about my career as it was tough for me to do a job outside. But my passion, desperation again helped there.
Somehow I found a free online course on content writing, finished that and started my online life there. Now my sister is learning writing from me, and I am helping her with a lot of enthusiasm. What I have learnt from my life is that: Never fear your weakness. Take a step ahead, fight your disability and win your fear. less

Well, like everyone else, I also have many situations in my life where I considered myself as a complete loser. You know being an introvert makes you disconnected from social life and it's not a joke. Being like that I was ditached from every success I could have achieved earlier. I was a shy person who could not even order a food for herself in any restaurant. I was someone who used to know the answers of most of the questions in school but always hesitated to talk. But you can not be like this forever right? But, the socio-economic conditions of women in Bangladesh have improved considerably over the period. The progress can be seen in several social indicators such as education, health, and empowerment. This is a reflection of the increased participation of women in the labor force. There are some job sections where women participation can be seen significantly such as,

Urban females are more educated than rural areas but if we have a look at the homemade products or handmade products, most of these are made by them which helps us to earn a lot of foreign currency and that's why the GDP growth rate is going higher day by day. According to this index, FLFP of Bangladesh has increased by a lot because in 2008, it was merely 16 percent and now it is 21 percent. This change can be attributed to women's increasing awareness about their role as well as an increase in access of education and job opportunities for them.
The 2011 World Development Report from the World Bank estimates that if half of all unemployed youth were put into jobs tomorrow, global gross domestic product would increase by more than $2 trillion over the next five years—equal to more than 10% of global GDP!
As a result of women empowerment in job sector in Bangladesh, there is an increase in women contribution to household income. In addition, it improves women's bargaining power within their families which is particularly important in promoting the health and education of children. less

Without the participation of this huge population in the job sector, it wouldn't be possible for Bangladesh to be enlisted as a developing country. The largest contribution of women in economy is in the RMG sector (among 4 million workers, 70% of them are women), & we know 12% of the GDP is contributed by this sector. Though most of the contribution of women in the agriculture (in homestead production,post-harvest production, livestock rearing etc.) is as unpaid labor, still this adds huge value to the economy. According to a research by The Asia Foundation its seen that from 1999/2000 to 2016/2017 the number of female workforce has increased from 8.6 million to 19.9 million which is more than twice & this is largely due to the increased literacy rate of women which stands at 71.95% & safety of women in job sector. The rise in women workforce is also due to Introduction of programmes like Microfinance from NGO’s like BRAC & others. Women have also made home workstations such as product selling online so they can work from home. As a result of all these the income per capita of the country has risen as the population becomes more productive. This led to the standard of life to go up hill where as poverty has gone downhill. From my perspective, some more steps should be taken by the government to help the people to stand in their feet so that they don't need to depend on others.

Because, this project gives house to the landless, homeless, shelterless people which gives them roof over their head. So, they don't have to pass night under the open sky. When their accommodation becomes secure, they can focus on their daily livlihood only.
Besides that, under Asrayan project these people receive technical and practical training and also soft loan which makes them skilled people and help them to income money. This project also gives them some land for mosque, pond.

The project is supposed to provide jobs to unemployed people and a shelter for the homeless ones. The Asrayan project will surely help so many poor families to get out of extreme poverty. Once they get their own land, they will begin to grow corn, rice, or vegetables on it and hopefully start earning their own income without borrowing any money from loan sharks. The landless people will also not have to pay rental anymore as this kind of initiative may give them a chance in life!
I also believe, to make this project more successful and let them be independent, these people need to be trained to manage money better. Although they do not have a lot of money, they can save at least some amount regularly with good management. This will help their families to start saving money on a regular basis. It can even be invested in some small businesses. less

I must appreciate but in the meantime, I also admit that it is a small picture. In a report, it has been shown that the govt. is being able to provide shelter for only 7%. The rest of them are behind the screen. So, if the target is to provide shelter for everyone then I must say it's not up to the level. It was one side of the topic which is not discussed most of the time. Let's have a look at the people who have got the facility. Now, how much they will improve it's all up to them. I admit that Asrayan Project is giving a great facility but it's not enough. Why? Because the only shelter can't improve their standard. So, as a result, their standard of living will remain the same. And believe me, it will be the most horrifying part of the project when no output will come. Again, the previous year we have earned 19.8 billion dollars as a remittance.
Each of these earnings is increasing our GDP and standard of living. But please stop. That's only for a few people. It's quite disappointing that more than 60% are not aware of that. In this situation, it's quite clear that what should we do. Yeah, as it is an era of information. Our main focus should be on increasing the skill. Because, this skill can create manpower. Most of the poor people who do not have their own house, have to live in a rent house. A great percentage of their income is spent in paying the rent. So, they hardly can afford healthy food, treatment and education. They cannot save any money for their future. Their children are often deprived from education and healthy food. Education is the only way to uplift their poor situation but they are hardly getting it. But for this Asrayan Project, these lower income people are getting a house and land of their own. They don’t need to pay for house rent. They can use that money to purchase other basic needs. They have a secure place and savings now. 1.Setting priority for ensuring to access good jobs for lower-income group people.
2.Providing Microloans can be beneficial to the landless people who want to start a new business. If the business increases, it will also create more employment opportunities for others. less

Friction is the resistance to motion of one object moving relative to another.
1. Jacob didn't drive that four-wheel car that much so the tire is not flat there are some edges which is giving him a grip to drove in that snow. Also, the area of contact between a rubber block and an ice surface is bigger and we know that a bigger surface means a lot of friction. That's why Jacob safely drove that car, If the tire of Jacob were flat then the friction will low and he will not able to drove that car safely.
2.The second phenomenon is happening because those shoes don't have that much grip on that slippery road. The friction area is too small and all the weight is centered on the shoes. So Jacob is slipping on ice. when he is trying to walk on that icy road, it keeps slip because the friction is too low so the friction is not enough to hold him, so he fell on the ground. you will be surprised if you know... less

3. the last phenomenon is also an example of friction but there is something you need to know is "energy". Energy can't be destroyed but it can transform one form to another. So when Jacob did rub hands he was pushing his hands back and forth to increase the friction of hands. When he was rubbing his hands he gives some energy and it was transforming to head and sound due to friction. Rubbing hands produce sounds if you haven't noticed try now. So that was the physics rule playing out there.
You can also put some oil and try to rub then heat and the sound will be decreased because the friction is decreased also.
I guess I exceed the word limits. Sorry for that, it was like a flow of words from my brain. I could do this all day long. Because I love physics. less

Here, we can see three different events which we can find explanation in physics. So, let’s see:
At first, when it comes to winter driving, the law of physics is most applicable which is Newton’s first law of motion called “ The law of intertia”. It states: “An object in motion continues in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force “. On road dry, the friction of the wheels allow changes in speed and direction. But during winter, when the roads are covered with snow or ice, the coefficient of friction is substantially reduced. But, four wheels with good grip improves traction on icy roads. While driving on slippery surface, it's drive system send power to all 4 wheels to maintain traction. Here, friction between the surface and tires creates and maintains grip. For this reason, Jacob's four wheel car was very helpful for driving. less

- The law of Conservation of Energy
- Newton's Law of Universal Gravitation
- The law that states all objects in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state unless acted upon by an external force.
In this story, the laws or concepts are how gravity works and it is what kept him on Earth. There was also conservation of small energy because his hands warmed up due to rubbing them together. Finally, there is Kilometers per hour conversion (KPH). In physics, Kph can be used as a metric unit for speed which is why he drove at 25 kilometers per hour. This was calculated using the distance traveled divided by the time taken to travel said distance. It turns out you need Physics knowledge for many things! less

Rubbing hands generates uneven heats due to the “Surface friction” of hand skins. There is no equilibrium heat (generated) at the initial phase. Thus the “Zeroth law of Thermodynamics” cannot work. But at a time gaining equilibrium heat on the skin, the law implicates, and he doesn’t feel the increasing temperature (meanwhile he got his nerves).

Season change in Alaska happened because of earth's annual motion. As the earth tilts around its axis and different regions of earth face the sun in different particular times, season change happens. 2. The frictional force is more when the number of tires are more. If Jacob drove a motorcycle, then it would be more tough to drive it. 3. As the car engine gave the vehicle force to accelerate forward, Netwon's law of motion was applicable there. 4.Cause of slipping in the snow was the lack of grip on the shoe. Netwon's third law was applicable there. He put force upon the ice and the ice gave him the opposite resultant force back. But for lacking grip, his shoe slipped. 5. His hand got warm after rubbing because the kinetic energy after rubbing transformed into heat energy. It is mentionable that, the law conservation of energy was applicable throughout the time. 6. Here, I have explained a few acts of Jacob during his visit to a cold climate and his acts carried a few generalizations of physics. "His four-wheel drive car was very helpful to drive in that weather as it's tires had very good grip on the icy and slippery roads." - Referring with the laws of physics and breaking down how the mechanism of how Jacob's four wheeler is quite a better option for driving it over icy surface as while driving a vehicle, the engine generates a force on the driving wheels. This force initiates the vehicle to move forwards. Friction is the force that opposes the tyre rubber from sliding on the road surface. This friction avoids skidding of vehicles. The tread on a tire effects in a higher friction on the road than if the tire was smooth, this allows drivers to have greater control over the movement of their car which allows friction to occur at the maximum potential of the tire, which prevents the car from skidding and losing control. less

"As soon as he started walking on the icy road, his shoes slipped and he fell on the ground." - Next here portraying Jacob's fall through an explanation of physics would be when Jacob was on an icy surface, though basically he don’t have any friction. Based on the analysis so far, that suggests that Jacob won’t be able to slow down, speed up, or change direction while on ice which is definitely true. When Jacob has sufficient friction, it’s able to slow the foot down to a stop almost immediately, allowing him to put his weight on it, but on an icy surface, the friction doesn’t kick in, and his foot slips out from under him. less

This act of Jacob is quite easy to understand by the ways of physics. When he rubs his hands, heat is produced due to friction. This is the force which is responsible for resistance in motion on a rough surface. The temperature rises due to the friction making his hands feel warm in that cold climate.

away the ice and snow.So he could drive safely. If no tread, there will be less friction and driving will become unsafe.
Jacob's shoes slipped because uppermost ice layer contains thin water layer on it.Deeper ice layers stick to each other well but upper layers are very loose as they always remain in contact with air. While walking, jacob's shoes rubbed on ice that caused friction.Friction created heat and heat helped to melt the ice which made it more slippery.

1) Situation-1, Jacob’s car could travel the road despite the road was slippery. This happened as the tires had enough grooves to increase friction. Friction increases due to rough surface, so the tires could make a firm grip on the road and prevent slipping. But if the tires hadn’t enough groove it could felt due to the smooth icy road.
2) 2nd situation where Jacob slipped on the ground due to wearing regular shoes. Although static friction occurred it wasn’t enough to stop slipping as the shoes of Jacob didn’t have enough grip to increase friction.
3) We can see in the 3rd situation that through rubbing his palms together, Jacob felt warm on both palms. This occurred due to sliding friction. The molecules in the palms of Jacob’s started moving quickly. Static electricity was produced due to the sliding friction. Thus this static electricity converted into heat energy. So friction is the root of this. less

First of all, it can be noticed that surface of the ice is slippery. So in order to prevent skidding, the tire of the car had a grooved pattern moulded into the rubber surface and are properly inflated which increases the amount of friction force acting on the car and so the car can move smoothly through the ice. Secondly, it is quite good to mention that normal shoes are not built to create a lot of frictional force, so as the ice is slippery, due to less frictional force, Mr Jacob slips.
In order to prevent slipping on ice, ice boots have quite a good surface that can create a lot of friction with the ice, preventing the user of the boots from sleeping. Thirdly, rubbing hands is also an example of friction. Rubbing hands allows surfaces from both the hands to come into contact and rub against each other and this movement causes friction force to convert the kinetic energy of the hands into the thermal... less

is so slippery and doesn’t have enough grips. Jacob’s Car was useful there; it
gives power to all 4 wheels at the same time. With the help of heavy car
weight, those 4 tires made 4 friction points. The more friction it made, the
more grip the car got. He might use frictional tires for getting more grips. In
consequence of that, he moved easily.
2.
On the ice, there are
unstable water molecules that are weakly bonded to the crystal. When Jacob
walked on ice, the molecules began to move freely. His shoes had not enough
friction point to grip in ice. As a result, his foot did not get enough static
friction force to hold him in place & he slipped.
3.
Jacob’s hands came in contact & move relative to each
other; the friction between the two hand surfaces converts kinetic energy into
thermal energy. Thermal energy made his hand wormer and made it safe from being
frozen. less

I think the resources in one third of the Sundarbans are enough for a good livelihood. But the forest ministry should have to take necessary initiative for the moribund animals like the Royal Bengal Tiger. And the patrolling team there should have to be honest with their duties. less

To prevent this problem I will do something from my own perspective to improve the condition of the local community alongside the Sundarban. Firstly I can increase awareness among the local community by providing the message of saving the Sundarban through social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter or published different advertisement. Secondly I can go to the local area and campaign the importance of the Sundarban. Thirdly I can encourage different NGOs so that they will work with the local people for earning their livelihood. If the local people have alternative earning opportunities they do not use the Sundarban forest resources. For creating alternative job opportunities I can provide training among them like Fish cultivation, Animal husbandry Stitch etc. Finally I can encourage the local people so that their children... less

The collect almost everything of their livelihood from this forest. So it is not right to restrct all the area for them. But if we permit them then they might make a big harm to the forest. So my proposal is to give permission with some limitations. For example, people can collect from from Sundarbans river in some sprcific month. People who collect Golpata or honey can only some selected area. By this process both the forest and people around thus forest will be benifited. Beside making alternative source of income for them might be another way to improve their condition. less

Authority should limit the access to certain parts of the forest for the local people to use its resources. They should also limit the uses of its resource. They would open a certain part of the forest for the local to use it. After a certain time, they would close that part of the forest for its recovery and open other parts of the forest for the locals to use. During that recovery time local should be restricted to go to that area and authority would take necessary steps like plantation to recover that area.
Authority would strictly prohibit the locals from getting
access to the area where wildlife lives mostly. In this way wildlife’s in the Sundarbans can be conserved.
Authority would keep in check that the locals wouldn’t use
any poison or any harmful chemicals in the water to catch fish.
Finally, the young generation of the locals should be

To earn a livelihood, they have been involved in fishing, tree cutting, honey collection etc. professions for a long time, so it is difficult to stop them with immediate action.
Central government should intervene in this matter. Developmental projects of the government and NGO can be launched.
In all the villages adjoining the Sundarbans, the government can select the required number of leaders from among the locals and give them responsibilities. Different leaders can be placed in different sectors. Locals will work in each group, the amount and boundaries of their resource collection from the forest can be determined. Group leaders will have the rules of accountability. Wild law and law enforcement must be enforced.

Recommendation to improve the condition of local community alongside saving Sundarbans from degradation:
1. Creating awareness – People of the area should be made aware about the issues faced by the Sundarbans. They should be made aware of the consequences of manmade hazards like deforestation etc.
2. Public -Private partnership –The local communities should be provided with funds so that they can consume other sources of nourishment.
3. Encouragement to eco-tourism – The local communities should be a participant of the friendly tourism practices in order to encourage eco-tourism which would aim to benefit the whole of the community.

So, they are highly dependent on forest. And the main reasons of this dependency are the mono-cropping characteristics of their agriculture, low literacy rate, lack of awareness, lack of facilities etc.
So, Govt. And other agencies Should focus on their education, sanitation and other facilities. As most of them are farmer and do fish farming can practice different agroforestry systems but for this, more researches should be done to ensure which crops, trees grow well in these areas because salinity is a big problem here. And obviously sustainable dams need to be built so that tidal water does not reach the locality.

I will give them a example like, if a woman take her sick child to a pir, fakir or any other superstitious person instead of taking her to doctor and if the child died by maltreatment , it would not the fault of that mother. The family and the society who didn't provide her proper education are the responsible for the child's death.

• I will let

get exposure, popularity, financial independence, financial stability etc.
• i will try
to connect the mentioned girl with the playwrights community.

The first thing is to make the parents realize that girls are
also gifted and talented. She may not be good at other things like cooking, but she has some talent in music or dance which can help her become a playwright later on.
Secondly, we need to convince them by showing how they will benefit if their daughter becomes educated. She can earn for her family in the future and give them better living conditions.
Thirdly, we need to educate them about the virtues of girls
education by telling stories of famous female writers or other women who have achieved success through learning; this could be a good way to start
conversations with parents on how they could better support their daughter's interest with small efforts like reading books at home together, etc.
The last thing is to work towards changing the social norms such that girls are given opportunities so they do not feel inferior. less

Jessore once was known exclusively for the huge amount of date juice & the date molasses it produced, which are one of my most favorite snacks of all time. But this fact is now nothing but a blur. It hurts to see our long cherished tradition to die out like this. With the money provided, I'd install a date farm which would economically benefit both me & the workers that I'd employ. I'd try my best to produce the molasses on an industrial level & also export if possible. But there's more to it. As dates are a seasonal fruit, me & my people will spend the rest of the year researching about date plants. For this, I'd also need to install a research center. There Bangladeshi students & engineers can work & try answering questions such as, why can't we produce date plants like before? or, what could be done to cultivate them using modern knowledge & technology? or, can any hybrid breed be discovered that would produce dates... less

Hatchery business is comparatively easy in Bangladesh , specifically in Cox's bazar district. Shimps and crabs are highly demanded all over the world. I will supply them in this country and also export to foreign countries. thus I will be self-employed and shall earn a sufficient amount of money.

With the fund of ten Lac I would start Vertical aquarium fish farming. Feni is in the middle of Dhaka and Chittagong which is an opportunity to get access of large markets of the country at cheaper transportation cost and at shorter time. Moreover, a giant export processing zone is rising
nearer to Feni, in Mirsarai, which is also a great scope to engage in export business.Once I get success it would bring a revolutionary change in my village. Many people will start their own business living in village rather going to Dhaka or going to abroad. This is how I may not only decentralize my family from Dhaka but also inspire a
generation to live happily in their own village and not to make Dhaka more populated. less

Different types of stones get washed up by the stream of Mohanonda from India which enters Bangladesh from the west of Banglabanda Zero point. I think it is a quite profitable business to do as many high rage buildings and roads are being built in the city areas and stones are in high demand. As it is my hometown I am hoping that I will receive assistance from my relatives or from the natives. With the money, I need to buy types of equipment which are essential to cut stones. These machines would cost up to 4 to 5 lakh taka. I will have to provide safety equipment to the workers so that they don't have to suffer from the excessive amount of dust the procedure creates. Which should cost up to 10-20 thousand taka I suppose. And I will keep the rest in a bank so that I can use the money in case of an emergency. I could also earn a fair amount of money from the... less

The reason I choose this area because it is well known for using solar power and according to weather this area is good for harvesting agricultural foods. I would like to spend 1/3 of my money to invest on solar plan and the rest of them for agricultural purpose. Another reason I choose both agriculture and solar power because I am very much concern about the climate change and it's effect on food . Using solar power will save electricity which will later help for reducing the bad effect of climate change. Solar power and agriculture are both complementary to each other for climate change. less

Since Bangladesh is a developing country, we can say from this that it is only memorization in keeping pace with other countries, and it is not right at all in a short space of time. Each one should be calculated separately and the reading system should be built on a projector based basis so that everyone can hear and understand. And those who are poor, they have to be helped by the government.
